About the role

We are seeking a skilled Long Term Care RN for a travel assignment in a facility. The role involves providing expert nursing care to residents, including assessing health, developing care plans, administering medications, and performing skilled procedures such as wound care and IV therapy. The RN supervises and supports nursing staff, educates residents and families, and ensures compliance with regulations and safety protocols. Key responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, collaborating with healthcare teams, documenting care, and responding to emergencies.

Qualifications

  • Recent experience as an RN in long-term care
  • Valid RN license per state regulations
  • Current BLS/CPR certification

Preferred Skills & Attributes

  • ACLS certification
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to perform required tasks, including lifting and moving equipment
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to irregular schedules

Key Duties

  • Assess and monitor residents' health status
  • Develop and update personalized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments safely
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs and CNAs
  • Educate residents and families on care and management of conditions
  • Maintain accurate documentation and report changes
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and coordinate care with healthcare teams
  • Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
