About the role

We are seeking a skilled Long Term Care Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in a healthcare facility. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to residents, including assessing health status, developing care plans, administering medications and treatments, and supervising nursing staff.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing and monitoring patient health changes
  • Implementing personalized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare teams
  • Administering medications and performing skilled procedures such as wound care and IV therapy
  • Supervising LPNs and CNAs, delegating tasks appropriately
  • Educating residents and families on treatments and managing chronic conditions
  • Documenting care and resident progress accurately
  • Responding quickly to emergencies and coordinating with medical teams
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of one year recent RN experience in long-term care
  • Valid RN license and current BLS/CPR certification
  • Critical thinking, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and computer skills
  • Physical ability to lift equipment and assist residents
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle contact with the public, and multitask effectively
