About the role
We are seeking a skilled Long Term Care Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in a healthcare facility. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to residents, including assessing health status, developing care plans, administering medications and treatments, and supervising nursing staff.
Responsibilities
- Assessing and monitoring patient health changes
- Implementing personalized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare teams
- Administering medications and performing skilled procedures such as wound care and IV therapy
- Supervising LPNs and CNAs, delegating tasks appropriately
- Educating residents and families on treatments and managing chronic conditions
- Documenting care and resident progress accurately
- Responding quickly to emergencies and coordinating with medical teams
- Ensuring compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of one year recent RN experience in long-term care
- Valid RN license and current BLS/CPR certification
- Critical thinking, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and computer skills
- Physical ability to lift equipment and assist residents
- Ability to work under pressure, handle contact with the public, and multitask effectively
