About the role
Provides skilled nursing care in a long-term care facility, overseeing patient care plans, administering treatments, monitoring health status, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Supervises nursing staff, educates residents and families, and collaborates with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality, resident-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Assessing resident health and responding to changes
- Developing and updating personalized care plans
- Administering medications and treatments
- Supervising LPNs and CNAs, delegating tasks appropriately
- Providing resident and family education
- Documenting care and health updates
- Responding to emergencies and coordinating with medical professionals
- Maintaining safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
Requirements
- One year of recent LTC RN experience
- Valid RN license per state regulations
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to perform required tasks
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and using PC tools
