Travel Long Term Acute Care (RN) - $2,013 per week

About the role

This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Day shift; 3x12 hour shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming the basis of an individualized plan of care.
  • Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis through collaboration with patients/families and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide timely patient information for team conferences and ensure accurate documentation in the medical record.
  • Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and focus on patient education utilizing the nursing process.
  • Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from day of admission.
  • Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care and safety.
  • Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
  • Assure personal and environmental safety in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Support positive teamwork and unit functioning, including participation in team-building activities.
  • Maintain communication with management regarding service needs and promote cost-effective care.
  • Assume charge responsibilities as requested after the orientation period.
  • Engage in professional growth through ongoing education and self-study.

Requirements

  • BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
  • ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is required.
  • Experience in PCU/Critical Care or Step-Down is required.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
