About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. Promoting a culture of safety, the RN is responsible for providing superior patient care while fostering a supportive work environment for all staff members.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
- Develop individualized plans of care based on patient assessments.
- Provide timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in medical records.
- Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct care using the nursing process.
- Initiate discharge planning from day of admission and provide patient education.
- Communicate patient status changes to care providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks appropriately.
- Contribute to a positive work environment through teamwork and calm direction.
- Manage and monitor necessary supplies and equipment for quality patient care.
- Assume charge responsibilities as requested after the orientation period.
Requirements
- BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
- ACLS required prior to first shift (specific to certain units).
- Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience.
- ICU experience is required.

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

This position involves a Day 4x12.0 shift schedule.
