Travel Licensed Practical Nurse Long Term Care Job

Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) assignment in a long-term care setting in Malone, NY. This 6-week contract starts on 07/30/2026.

About the role

This temporary position involves providing direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care/nursing home environment. You will work 8-hour evening shifts, five days per week (5x8). Note that guaranteed hours are not provided, and you must work 2 of the 4 major holidays during the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to residents, including monitoring vital signs, assessing changes in condition, and administering treatments under RN supervision
• Administer medications and document administration accurately; monitor for adverse effects and respond per protocol
• Perform CNA duties as needed, including assistance with activities of daily living and patient mobility
• Maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record; communicate changes to the care team and update care plans as required
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, quality resident care; respond to call bells and maintain safety and infection control standards
• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as required to meet unit needs; adhere to facility policies and no block scheduling rules

Requirements

• Active LPN license (must be on file at time of submission)
• AHA BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of long-term care (LTC) experience
• Ability to perform CNA duties as needed and work effectively in an LTC setting
• Reliable transportation (public transportation is not available in this area)
• Background checks: 7-year background check, FACIS 3, and NY State check must be on file at submission

Pay

Weekly pay range: $1,667 to $1,737 per week.
