About the role
Responsible for providing comprehensive care to women and their newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
Responsibilities
- Monitor vital signs
- Assess potential high-risk issues
- Support and educate mothers and families
- Ensure both medical and emotional needs are met throughout the birthing process
Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Degree from an accredited nursing program
- Certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and AWHONN
- At least 18 months of recent experience in an acute care Labor and Delivery setting
Skills & Key Duties
- Provide patient-centered care before, during, and after delivery
- Monitor maternal and neonatal vital signs
- Identify and manage potential high-risk situations
- Educate and support patients and families post-delivery
