About the Role

Post Partum Floor registered nurse (RN) opportunity in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. This position involves providing high-quality post-partum care in a clinical setting, supporting new mothers and their newborns. The shift schedule includes rotating hours, with a focus on maintaining excellent patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts, start times between 09:00 and 10:00, with end times between 18:30 and 19:30
• Minimum 36 hours per week
• Heavy call schedule requiring a minimum of two night shifts per week (18:00 to 06:00)
• One weekend every 2-3 weeks (Friday morning to Monday morning)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality post-partum care to new mothers and newborns
• Float to outpatient surgery centers for similar patient care (e.g., endoscopy, orthopedic, and pain clinics)
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities
• Work with a shared team of nurse aides

Requirements

• Valid nursing license for Wisconsin
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience working on the Post Partum Floor
• Dedicated pair of shoes required (scrubs provided)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with electronic health record systems, specifically Cerner

Additional Information

• Acute care setting with a trauma level 3 designation
