Travel Hospice RN

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate end-of-life care to patients in home or hospice settings, focusing on comfort, pain management, and emotional support.
• Assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and monitor condition changes.
• Educate and support families and caregivers on symptom management and care techniques.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic, quality care.
• Document all care activities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Offer emotional support to patients and families and maintain continuous communication with the care team.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of recent RN experience, with at least six months in hospice or palliative care.
• Valid RN license and current BLS certification.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to perform required duties, including mobility and handling of medical equipment.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to irregular schedules.

Key Duties

• Develop and update individualized care plans and administer treatments as needed.
• Monitor patient status, adjust interventions, and document all care activities accurately.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members and adhere to safety and regulatory standards.
