Travel Hospice RN

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate end-of-life care in hospice settings, focusing on comfort, pain management, and emotional support.
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and educate families on symptom management.
• Monitor patient condition and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Document care accurately and ensure compliance with hospice regulations.
• Offer emotional support to patients and families.
• Communicate regularly with care teams and adhere to safety and healthcare protocols.
• Perform related duties within scope of practice, including charting, safety compliance, and infection control.

Requirements

• Valid RN license.
• Minimum one year of recent RN experience, with at least six months in hospice.
• BLS certification.
• Demonstrated critical thinking, strong interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in PC use.
• Physical ability to move equipment and remain stationary for extended periods.
• Sensory skills for effective communication.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, follow instructions, and maintain professionalism with diverse personnel.
