Travel ER RN - $1,959 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The assignment is for 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour evening shifts. The ideal candidate should have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team of caregivers to appropriately evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions.
• Provide care for patients in a fast‑paced, urgent, and emergency environment.
• Perform minor medical operations.
• Advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries.
• Plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history.
• Check for patient allergies.
• Obtain patient vital signs.
• Monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Cope with stress and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• CPI certification.
• PALS certification.
• NIH certification.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
