Responsibilities
- Assist in electrophysiology studies, cardiac ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, and other specialized procedures in the EP lab.
- Prepare patients, operate and troubleshoot lab equipment, monitor patient responses, and support cardiac mapping and interventions.
- Perform nursing assessments, educate patients and families, administer medications including sedation, and provide post-procedure care.
- Maintain sterile techniques, collaborate with the care team, and adhere to safety and regulatory standards.
- Respond to patient condition changes and perform equipment setup and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
- Recent EP Lab Tech experience (minimum one year)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certifications
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to move equipment and assist in procedures
- Proficiency in reading instructions, PC skills, and visual acuity
- Ability to work under pressure and with diverse personnel
