About the role

Responsible for assisting with electrophysiology procedures, including cardiac ablations, device implantations, and cardiac mapping. Tasks include preparing patients, operating and troubleshooting EP lab equipment, monitoring patient responses, and ensuring a safe, efficient environment. The role involves performing assessments, educating patients, administering medications, and supporting physicians during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments
• Assist with electrophysiology procedures
• Administer medications
• Monitor cardiac responses
• Maintain sterile technique
• Support post-procedure care
• Collaborate with the care team
• Follow safety and infection control protocols
• Perform other assigned duties within scope of practice

Requirements

• Minimum one year of recent EP Lab Tech experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to handle equipment and move about
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and PC skills
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
