About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrophysiology (EP) Lab RN to provide specialized patient care in a fast-paced EP laboratory setting. The role involves assisting with arrhythmia ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, and medication management, alongside performing patient assessments, supporting procedures, administering medications, and monitoring patient responses.

Responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive nursing assessments and documenting findings accurately
• Educating patients and families about procedures and post-care
• Assisting physicians during electrophysiology studies and device implantations
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and patient conditions throughout procedures
• Maintaining sterile techniques and supporting equipment setup and troubleshooting
• Providing immediate post-procedure care and ensuring patient safety
• Collaborating with the care team to develop and implement treatment plans
• Adhering to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards

Qualifications and skills

• At least one year of recent EP Lab RN experience
• Valid RN license and current BLS/ACLS certifications
• Critical thinking, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in reading and following instructions, computer skills
• Physical ability to move equipment and assist with procedures
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle irregular activity schedules
• Visual acuity and effective communication skills
