Travel Emergency Room RN - $2,265 per week

Job Summary

Emergency Room (ER) Nurse opportunity in a Level III trauma center located in Yakima, Washington. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population, from neonates to geriatrics, in a busy community hospital setting. The position requires flexibility, clinical expertise, and the ability to handle high-acuity cases efficiently.

Schedule

Nights shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a large volume emergency department with high acuity patients
• Experience with barcode scanning medication administration, managing medication drips, blood product administration, triage, chest tubes, arterial lines, trauma assistance, splinting, ventilators, and understanding of Emergency Severity Index (ESI)

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric emergency medicine experience
• Point of Care Labs proficiency

Additional Information

• Float: No floating required
• The facility is a busy Level III trauma center with 34 emergency department beds, seeing 200-250 patients daily, including high-acuity pediatrics, stroke, cardiac, behavioral health, and substance use disorder cases
• The ER is organized into zones; fast track with 13 beds is available
• Use of Epic electronic medical record system is required
• Flexibility is essential, with every other weekend rotation and the possibility of working back-to-back weekends
