Travel Emergency Department RN - $2,171 per week
About the Role
Travel nursing assignment in Salem, Massachusetts for an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN). This is a 13-week contract with 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend.
Unit Details
The Emergency Department is a 65-bed, pod-based unit with a separate pediatric pod and a separate Acute Mental Health area. The department sees approximately 230 visits per day and uses EPIC – ASAP for electronic medical records.
- Clinician to Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Patient Population: All ages
- Floating Required: Yes
- Rotating Shifts: Yes for day shifts (7a-7p, 11a-11p, & 7p-7a) when requested; rotation frequency is low. Night position does not rotate.
Responsibilities
- Perform general ED nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education
Requirements
- 2 years of Emergency Nursing experience
- AHA Certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- NRP and TNCC certifications strongly preferred
