About the role
Lake Huron Medical Center is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for a 9-week travel nursing assignment in the Emergency Department. This position requires 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
- Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care in Telemetry.
- Communicate with physicians about changes in the patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in the patient's condition and/or response to treatment.
- Maintain knowledge of EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and Hospital Social Worker.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
- The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to their patients in the Emergency Department.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN License
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
Qualifications
- NIHSS or Stroke Certification preferred
- COVID vaccination/boosters preferred
- BVP (MAB) training
Pay
Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
