About the Role
Access Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Salem, Massachusetts.
Unit Overview
Unit Name: Emergency Department.
Brief Unit Description: 65-Bed Emergency Department, pod-based, with separate pediatric pod and separate Acute Mental Health area.
Clinician to Patient Ratio: 1:4.
Bed Count: 65.
Census: 230 visits/day.
EMR (Charting System): EPIC – ASAP.
Requirements
- Years of Experience Required: 2 years Emergency Nursing experience.
- Certifications Required: AHA Certified BLS, ACLS & PALS. NRP & TNCC certifications strongly preferred.
- Floating Required: Yes.
- Rotating Shifts Required: Yes, for Day Rotate (7a-7p, 11a-11p, & 7p-7a) when requested. Rotation frequency: Low. Night position does not rotate.
Skills
- General ED nursing skills including but not limited to: Assessment, documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, Cardiac Monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking and patient education.
Schedule
- Duration: 13 weeks.
- Hours per week: 36 hours per week.
- Shift: 12 hours, nights.
- Specific Schedule: Emergency Department RN Nights & EOW – 36hrs.
Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
