Travel CVOR Open Heart Registered Nurse - $3,145 per week

Job Summary

Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) position located in Oak Lawn, Illinois. This role involves providing surgical support within a high-volume, Level I Trauma Center specializing in cardiovascular and vascular procedures. The position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in operating room and open heart procedures, supporting adult cardiac surgeries including TAVR, AAA, endarterectomies, and other vascular and thoracic cases.

Required Qualifications

• OR/CVOR RN certification
• BLS certification required
• 2-3 years of acute care experience (unless IR Hybrid Tech, then 3 years of hybrid experience)
• Valid license
• EPIC electronic medical record experience
• Current drivers license and insurance
• Must be able to scrub and circulate, with demonstrated experience performing these duties in high-acuity cardiac and vascular cases

Schedule

• 10-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, 4 days per week with a rotation schedule
• Weekend rotation is every 4th weekend (Saturday-Sunday)
• Orienting on first days, unit-specific training
• Supporting a 24/7 operating environment with rotating shifts including day, evening, and night hours
• On-call responsibilities with a 30-minute response time and holiday coverage required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with adult or pediatric open-heart cases
• Critical care experience
• Level I trauma experience
• EPIC proficiency
