Responsibilities
- Sell travel packages (cruises, land packages, itineraries, air, car, hotel).
- Share expertise from personal travel or education study trips.
- Build long-term member relationships and generate referral/repeat business.
- Recommend tailored trip experiences that exceed member expectations.
- Cross-sell relevant products (e.g., AAA Member Rewards Credit Card, identity theft referrals).
- Progress through evaluations for leadership growth opportunities.
Requirements
- High school diploma (required).
- Pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening.
- Available to work most Saturdays and some evenings.
- Complete the Travel Consultant Trainee program, including travel for training.
- Sales-driven with a focus on exceeding goals.
- Proficient with computers, multiple systems/web browsers, Microsoft Office, and typing at least 30 WPM.
- Strong organizational skills and comfort with paperwork.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail sales, banking, or leisure travel agency experience in a goal-oriented environment.
- Passion for travel beyond a hobby.
