About the Role
Provide direct therapy services as part of a licensed rehab team in a long-term care / nursing home setting. This role typically works day shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide OT-focused treatment to improve independence in activities of daily living, mobility, and functional tasks for residents
- Implement and monitor individualized treatment plans under supervision; adapt as progress is observed
- Conduct, document, and communicate session notes, progress toward goals, and any concerns to supervising OT
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team (PT, nursing, social work, and therapies aides) to coordinate care
- Promote safety and proper use of assistive devices; assess and modify equipment as needed; support fall prevention
- Assist with discharge planning, community referrals, and strategies for ongoing therapy post-hospitalization or post-visit
- Collect and contribute data for quality improvement and outcome tracking as directed
Requirements
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant credential
- Montana licensure eligibility or licensure as required by state for practice
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting with older adults and residents with chronic conditions
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel for a temporary assignment; ability to work day shift
- Basic computer literacy and electronic medical record documentation experience
Pay
Weekly pay range: $2,119–$2,187. Compensation and hours will be confirmed during onboarding.
