Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant assignment in Nashua, NH, focused on acute care within a long-term care setting. 10-week contract starting August 11, 2026.

About the role

This position is at a long-term care facility (nursing home) and is managed through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities

  • Perform OT evaluations, develop treatment plans, and implement therapy interventions for residents, applying acute care principles in a long-term care context.
  • Provide individual and group therapy activities focused on activities of daily living, mobility, balance, endurance, transfers, and safety.
  • Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate findings to the interdisciplinary team.
  • Ensure patient safety and maintain adherence to care plans, infection control, and facility policies during interventions.
  • Collaborate with occupational therapy supervisors, nursing, physical therapy, social work, and discharge planning to support seamless transitions and goals.
  • Educate patients and families on home exercises, activity modification, and strategies to maintain function after discharge.

Requirements

  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in New Hampshire.
  • Graduation from an accredited OTA program.
  • Experience in acute care or inpatient rehabilitation settings; experience in long-term care is considered relevant.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-need care environment within a long-term care setting.
  • Availability to start on 08/11/2026 and commit to the 10-week assignment.

Pay

Weekly pay: $1,662–$1,744 per week with guaranteed 35 hours.

Schedule

5 days per week, 8-hour days (08:00–16:30).
