About the Role

Provide occupational therapy services in a long-term care facility (nursing home) setting. This role involves working with residents to improve activities of daily living, mobility, and functional independence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy services to residents within a long-term care facility, following the approved plan of care.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing patient evaluations; develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Monitor progress, adjust goals and treatment strategies as needed, and document outcomes in the electronic medical record.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, physicians, therapy aides, social work) to coordinate care and support discharge planning.
  • Educate residents and families on therapy plans, home exercise programs, and adaptive equipment use; promote patient safety and fall prevention.
  • Maintain infection control, safety standards, and compliance with regulatory requirements during therapy sessions.

Requirements

  • Active North Dakota license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (or eligible for licensure under state requirements).
  • Graduation from an accredited OTA program.
  • Experience in acute care or long-term care settings preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a long-term care facility environment.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with rehabilitation concepts and plan-of-care development.

Pay

Weekly pay: $1,938–$2,059 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.

Schedule

Shift: Days. Contract duration: 13 weeks.
