About the role

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 3+ years of Cardiac Cath Lab/EP experience and cross-training in structural heart and neurointerventional procedures for a 13-week travel assignment in Danbury, Connecticut.

This hospital-based cardiovascular lab supports EP, cardiac catheterization, neurointerventional, and structural heart procedures, handling high-acuity and complex cardiovascular cases, including emergent and advanced interventional procedures.

Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a reduced rate.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in 3x12 hour shifts with variable start times between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM
  • Participate in weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation as required by department needs
  • Scrub EP procedures including ablations, device implants, generator changes, lead revisions, and leadless pacing systems (Micra, Aveir preferred)
  • Scrub cardiac catheterization procedures including diagnostic and interventional cases (PCI, atherectomy)
  • Support mechanical circulatory support devices (Impella, IABP, temporary pacing)
  • Support neurointerventional and peripheral vascular procedures, including diagnostic angiography and endovascular interventions
  • Perform radial and femoral vascular access, sheath management, and vascular closure
  • Use advanced cardiovascular imaging technologies including ICE, IVUS, OCT, and 3D mapping systems
  • Support structural heart procedures including TAVR, MitraClip, PFO/ASD closure, and Watchman (preferred)
  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary cardiovascular care team
  • Use Kronos for timekeeping

Requirements

  • State of CT Radiographer license required if applicable, in conjunction with ARRT (R) and/or RCIS certification through CCI
  • Minimum 3 years Cardiac Cath Lab/EP Lab experience
  • BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)
  • Proficient in scrubbing EP and cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Experience supporting neurointerventional and peripheral vascular procedures
  • Expertise in radial and femoral vascular access, sheath management, and vascular closure devices
  • Familiarity with Siemens equipment (preferred)
  • RCIS certification through CCI (preferred)
  • Two professional references from previous managers required for consideration
