About the role
American Traveler is seeking a travel Cardiovascular Technologist for a Cath Lab / EP position at a Level III Trauma Center in Puyallup, WA.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac and EP procedures in an acute care hospital setting with 2 cardiac catheterization labs.
- Work in a 375-bed Level III Trauma Center with an average of 8 cases per day.
- Work 10-hour days, with a rotating day off each week.
- Be on-call once per weekday (Mon–Thu) and every 6th weekend (Fri–Sun).
- Manage a 30-minute call response time, with the possibility of floating to a nearby Cath Lab.
- Use EMR (Epic) and hemodynamic monitoring system (Merge).
- Assist with transporting patients who are on a tele monitor.
Requirements
- Current BLS and ACLS required.
- ARRT or RCIS certification required; WA state license required if applicable.
- Cath Lab-specific experience required; first-time travelers must have 2+ years of experience, while travelers with prior travel experience may be considered with 1 year.
- Proficiency in scrubbing and operating the table simultaneously.
- Experience with the full range of diagnostic, interventional, and EP procedures listed in the job details.
- Merge hemodynamic system experience preferred.
- Covid vaccination required.
- Two supervisor-level references required prior to start (one may be submitted at time of consideration).
Qualifications
- Must have 2+ years of Cath Lab experience for first-time travelers.
- May have 1 year of Cath Lab experience for travelers with prior travel experience.
Skills
- Scrubbing and operating the table simultaneously.
- Monitoring experience preferred.
- Experience with the full range of diagnostic, interventional, and EP procedures listed in the job details.
- Merge hemodynamic system experience preferred.
Benefits
Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
