Travel assignment for a Cardiovascular Technologist (Echo Tech) in Marysville, California. Eight-week contract in a short-term acute care hospital setting with a start date of 08/31/2026.
Responsibilities
- Perform transthoracic echocardiography imaging of cardiac chambers, valves, and vessels; acquire, measure, and document imaging data for assessment of heart function.
- Prepare patients by positioning, applying gel, attaching electrodes, verifying wave signals, and recording images; tailor technique based on patient records.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, interpret findings, and report results; perform treadmill echocardiography when indicated.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and inventory; restock supplies; enter patient information into the electronic medical record.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort, provide clear instructions for imaging procedures, and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge through ongoing education and clinical practice; participate in quality improvement and professional activities as appropriate.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (preferred).
- Licenses/Certifications: Currently certified, or eligible to be certified, with RDCS (ARDMS) or CCI required; Echocardiography certification preferred; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: At least 1 year of recent hospital or clinical setting experience; EPIC experience; must have CCI or ARDMS credentialing.
Skills
- Ability to perform echocardiography in a hospital/clinical setting.
- Ability to work with treadmill echocardiography as needed.
Pay
Weekly pay ranges from $2,126 to $2,296.
Schedule
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.
- Shift: 4x10-hour days.
- Contract duration: 8 weeks.
