12-week travel assignment in Lodi, California, starting 08/31/2026 at a short-term acute-care hospital.

About the role

This position supports the operating-room team with cardiovascular procedures, including open-heart cases. The role is structured as a travel assignment with guaranteed hours and on-call coverage.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team in cardiovascular procedures, maintaining a sterile field and passing instruments, supplies, and medications as needed.
• Prepare for cases by assembling supplies and equipment, checking inventory, and maintaining an organized sterile field for expedient access.
• Conduct instrument, sponge, needle, and blade counts with the RN and label solutions according to established standards.
• Transport patients and equipment, assist with general housekeeping duties, and perform clerical tasks as assigned to support the unit.
• Document case data in the designated system (EPIC) and collaborate with the team.
• Participate in on-call coverage as required (approximately 50%).

Requirements

• Active CST or TS-C (NCCT) certification.
• CPR/BLS certification from an approved vendor.
• Current nursing license per state of assignment.
• 2+ years of recent open-heart or scrub tech experience; ability to scrub open-heart cases solo or with a second scrub.
• EPIC experience required.
• High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s/Technical degree preferred.
• CNA certification preferred.

Schedule

• 12-week contract.
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.
• Shift: 4×10 days.

Pay

Weekly pay range: $2,298–$2,371.
