Travel Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse - $2,670 per week

Specialty: CVICU. Discipline: RN. Start Date: 10/12/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Employment Type: Travel. Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) in a dedicated cardiac surgical intensive care unit. This role involves providing specialized post-operative care to patients recovering from cardiac surgery, cardiac transplantation, lung transplantation, ventricular assist device placement, and other complex procedures. The position is located at a healthcare facility with a focus on high-acuity cardiac patient management.

Responsibilities

Provide post-operative cardiac surgery care, manage ventilator settings, administer Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), handle Swan-Ganz catheter placement, monitor epicardial wires and pacemakers, titrate vasoactive medications, oversee Level 1 Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) and Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) support.

Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• Current experience with recovery of post‑op cardiac surgery patients in an ICU setting
• Ventilator management
• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
• Swan‑Ganz catheter placement
• Epicardial wires and pacemakers
• Vasoactive medication titration
• Level 1 Intra‑Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
• Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Critical Care Certification
• Trauma course completion
• Electronic Medical Record (Epic) proficiency
