Summary
In collaboration with the medical director and organizational leaders, this position coordinates trauma care and systems, oversees regulatory compliance and performance, and supports the service line and organization's goals.
Responsibilities
- Assists with developing departmental budget, goals, and standards supporting the strategic plan and vision.
- Maintains knowledge of regulatory requirements and aligns the program for compliance with institutional objectives.
- Maintains a quality program improving performance of physicians, staff, processes, and systems related to trauma care aligned with national standards.
- Participates on and leads multidisciplinary teams.
- Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or ADN with BSN in progress.
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
- PREFERRED: Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC).
- 3 years of relevant experience in acute care.
- PREFERRED: Leadership experience.
- PREFERRED: BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
