About the role
The Village is seeking an experienced and compassionate Transportation Supervisor to oversee our transportation program and ensure safe, reliable, and customer-focused service for our residents. This role supervises all drivers, manages transportation scheduling, and personally transports residents to appointments and activities. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate community vehicles, transporting residents to appointments, events, and outings.
- Aid residents on and off vehicles; help with mobility devices such as wheelchairs, walkers, and canes.
- Maintain required driver’s license (CDL with passenger endorsement preferred).
- Oversee maintenance of all community vehicles, conduct pre-trip inspections, and report safety or repair needs.
- Build and update monthly transportation schedules; verify daily appointments in the Worxhub scheduling app.
- Cookordination transportation needs with Concierge and Resident Services teams.
- Perform weekly, monthly, and quarterly vehicle preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Keep all vehicle registrations and handicap placards current.
- Train all drivers on vehicle operation, safety requirements, tie-downs, load standards, Worxhub usage, phone systems, and navigation tools.
- Ensure all vehicles are clean and ready for use at all times.
- Assist Operations with pickups and deliveries as needed.
- Drive for off-hour events, including nights and weekends.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to residents and Healthcare patients.
- Assist with activities when available; attend required meetings and training.
- Support emergency responses, including resident evacuation if necessary.
- Promote compliance with policies, procedures, budget guidelines, and quality standards.
- Maintain strong communication with residents and uphold professional behavior and appearance standards.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- CDL with passenger endorsement (Class P).
- Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all departments.
- Ability to walk long distances, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and assist with resident mobility.
- Professional appearance and dependable attendance.
Preferred
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of transportation or supervisory experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or similar environments.
