Transportation Supervisor

About the role

The Transportation Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient and safe transportation operations within the Performance Food Group. This position oversees all aspects of vehicle management, driver training, and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily vehicle maintenance and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Train and manage a team of drivers to maintain high levels of productivity and safety.
• Ensure adherence to all company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manage the dispatching process to optimize routes and reduce fuel costs.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve overall logistics efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation management or logistics.
• Proven ability to manage teams and lead complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of transportation laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Experience with fleet management software.
• Knowledge of GPS tracking systems.

Pay

$60,000 - $70,000 annually.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
