About the role

The immediate opening is for a 1st Shift Transportation Supervisor (DOT REGULATED DRIVERS) internally titled, Customer Logistics Supervisor in Georgetown, KY for our Supply Chain Solutions division.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate and oversee day to day logistics operations
  • Plan and review logistics processes, ensuring they meet company standards and customer service specifications
  • Establish work schedules and procedures, coordinating activities of workers to optimize shift/team logistics
  • Accountable for site Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Meet regularly with team members to monitor progress, track performance, coach, counsel, and recognize successes
  • Cultivate team spirit with a Diversity and Inclusion initiative and promote cooperation by improving internal processes
  • Carry out performance evaluations of team members and recommend performance awards and/or merit increases
  • Address performance problems through corrective action and disciplinary processes
  • Understand labor agreements and maintain positive labor relations with all employees
  • Implement health & safety and security initiatives, practices, and behaviors, adhering to company rules and policies
  • Provide appropriate orientation for employees and lead hands, providing necessary information, technology, and materials for job performance

Requirements

  • College degree/Technical Certification required in Business, Logistics, Transportation or a related field
  • Three (3) years or more supervisory position experience in a warehouse environment or in Transportation
  • Three (3) years or more experience in monitoring, evaluating, and rewarding employee performance
  • Three (3) years or more experience in performance management, including progressive discipline
  • Three (3) years or more experience preparing and conducting meetings (H&S and Employee committee)
  • Three (3) years or more experience investigating and reporting workplace accidents and incidents

Pay

Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month
Annual Salary Pay: $60,000

Schedule

Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
