Flexibility is required; shift may rotate weekly. We are a 24/7 operation open weekends, overnights, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily delivery operations, planning and scheduling including planning driver schedules, managing routes, and ensuring deliveries are completed on time
- Foster an environment that promotes employee engagement, taking responsibility for establishing and sustaining a culture where employees feel valued and motivated
- Ensure quality standards and productivity goals are achieved by monitoring driver performance, analyzing KPIs, and addressing any performance gaps to meet department targets
- Ensure compliance with policies, regulations and safety and health standards (DOT, OSHA, etc.) by conducting safety audits, ensuring driver adherence to protocols, and staying current on regulatory changes
- Coordinate and adjust driver routes daily to balance delivery schedules, customer demands, service hours, and workload, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries
- Establish and maintain positive customer relationships internally and externally through regular communication and collaboration to improve delivery efficiency and meet overall business objectives
- Other projects or duties as assigned
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree with 3 to 4 plus years of related experience and 0 to 1 plus years supervisory experience
- OR High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 5 plus years of specific experience and 1 to 2 plus years of supervisory experience
