Transportation Supervisor

About the role

Supervises delivery operations, managing staff to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily delivery activities and enforces safety protocols.
• Manages labor, supplies, and shift scheduling.
• Maintains delivery assets and reviews productivity reports.
• Coordinates with sales and marketing teams to address customer issues.
• Visits customer sites and maintains communication with associates to promote morale and engagement.
• Collaborates with safety teams for training, accident investigations, and safety inspections.
• Manages staff-related functions including hiring, discipline, and performance reviews.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; 2-4 year degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of related experience.
• Certifications: defensive driving; HazMat and Class A CDL preferred.

Skills

• Ability to interpret policies and regulations.
