Transportation Mechanic-Helena AR

Essential Job Functions

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on transportation equipment including forklifts, man-lifts, and other vehicles to ensure maximum reliability
• Inspect, test, and troubleshoot mechanical systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently
• Execute maintenance work orders and preventative maintenance schedules using Intelex
• Avoid all transportation equipment from non-compliance with DOT regulations and internal safety standards
• Maintain accurate logs of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
• Promote and adhere to food safety, quality, and GMP standards in all maintenance activities
• Collaborate with the maintenance team and site leadership to support operational goals and continuous improvement
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety procedures

Qualifications & Experience

• A High School Diploma required; Associate Degree preferred
• 0–4 years of experience in manufacturing or mechanical maintenance environments
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand and power tools
• Basic knowledge of welding (MIG and ARC) and precision measuring tools preferred
• DOT Inspector Certification preferred
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency (MS Office/Windows)
