Transportation Hydraulics Senior Engineer / Project Manager

About the role

The Transportation Hydraulics Senior Engineer/Project Manager is responsible for providing leadership support in project delivery, business development, and growth of HDR’s Transportation Hydraulics Group in the Pennsylvania/West Virginia Area. Key duties include assisting the Transportation Hydraulics Lead in strategic planning, overseeing technical project delivery, quality control, staff development and morale, and business development and marketing support.

Requirements

• Project experience and existing relationships with DOT and municipal clients is a must.
• Technical proficiency preparing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and reports, scour investigations, erosion and sediment control plans and reports, drainage, and stormwater management design, waterway and NPDES permitting, quantity & cost estimates, and specifications.
• Experience with standard drainage analysis and design packages including but not limited to AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation OpenRoads Designer, StormCAD, EPASWMM, XPSWMM. HEC-RAS 1D/2D and/or SRH-2D river modeling experience is preferred.
• ArcGIS Pro and HEC-HMS experience is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to support marketing efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 7 years related experience
• Minimum 2 years project management experience
• Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
