Transportation Hydraulics Senior Engineer / Project Manager
About the role
The Transportation Hydraulics Senior Engineer/Project Manager is responsible for providing leadership support in project delivery, business development, and growth of HDR’s Transportation Hydraulics Group in the Pennsylvania/West Virginia Area. Key duties include assisting the Transportation Hydraulics Lead in strategic planning, overseeing technical project delivery, managing quality control, supervising staff, and promoting HDR through professional organizations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Transportation Hydraulics Lead in the development of strategic planning
- Oversight of technical project delivery
- Quality control
- Staff development and morale
- Business development and marketing support
Requirements
- Project experience and existing relationships with DOT and municipal clients
- Technical proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and reports
- Experience with standard drainage analysis and design packages
- Experience with HEC-RAS 1D/2D and/or SRH-2D river modeling
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro and HEC-HMS
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 7 years related experience
- Minimum 2 years project management experience
- Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered
