Transportation Hydraulics Senior Engineer / Project Manager

About the role

The Transportation Hydraulics Senior Engineer/Project Manager is responsible for providing leadership support in project delivery, business development, and growth of HDR’s Transportation Hydraulics Group in the Pennsylvania/West Virginia Area. Key duties include assisting the Transportation Hydraulics Lead in strategic planning, overseeing technical project delivery, quality control, staff development, and business development.

Requirements

• Project experience and existing relationships with DOT and municipal clients
• Technical proficiency in preparing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and reports
• Experience with standard drainage analysis and design packages such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation OpenRoads Designer, StormCAD, EPASWMM, XPSWMM, HEC-RAS 1D/2D, and SRH-2D river modeling
• ArcGIS Pro and HEC-HMS experience preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 7 years related experience
• Minimum 2 years project management experience
• Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical proficiency in scour investigations, erosion and sediment control plans and reports, drainage, and stormwater management design
• Experience with waterway and NPDES permitting, quantity & cost estimates, and specifications
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro and HEC-HMS
