Responsibilities
- Completes pavement condition surveys of roughness and distress data for assigned collection cycle(s).
- Operates and monitors all systems and equipment associated with the collection of pavement condition data.
- Transfers and stores pavement condition data and right-of-way images for data processing and archival.
- Applies knowledge and skills of all equipment associated with pavement condition data collection to analyze and evaluate hardware and software performance.
- Maintains data progress reports associated with the collection of pavement condition data.
- Inspects, maintains, and cleans all equipment associated with the collection of pavement condition data.
- Monitors and adheres to equipment maintenance schedules.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma and two (2) years of progressively responsible engineering technician related experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence.
- A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
Physical Demands
- Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Walking for extended periods and treading rough terrain.
- Working in close proximity to motoring traffic and in natural environmental hazards.
- May require occasional exposure to noise.
- May require working outside of normal work schedules and weekends.
