Transportation Engineering Technician III - Rater (61032745)

Responsibilities

• Completes pavement condition surveys of roughness and distress data for assigned collection cycle(s).
• Operates and monitors all systems and equipment associated with the collection of pavement condition data.
• Transfers and stores pavement condition data and right-of-way images for data processing and archival.
• Applies knowledge and skills of all equipment associated with pavement condition data collection to analyze and evaluate hardware and software performance.
• Maintains data progress reports associated with the collection of pavement condition data.
• Inspects, maintains, and cleans all equipment associated with the collection of pavement condition data.
• Monitors and adheres to equipment maintenance schedules.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma and two (2) years of progressively responsible engineering technician related experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence.
• A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.

Physical Demands

• Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Walking for extended periods and treading rough terrain.
• Working in close proximity to motoring traffic and in natural environmental hazards.
• May require occasional exposure to noise.
• May require working outside of normal work schedules and weekends.
