Duties, Responsibilities & Other

  • Assist in the development of multiple construction plans for transportation projects.
  • Perform work which involves conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment.
  • Assignments usually include engineering calculations, interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications, and assistance with proposal preparation.
  • Help to coordinate work of multiple engineering disciplines, as well as performing drafting/CADD work for the project.
  • Develops engineering reports, quantities and Construction Cost Estimates.

The Ideal Candidate Will Posses These Preferred Qualifications

  • General Knowledge and/or experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads
  • Candidate must have good communication and technical writing skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with AASHTO, MUTCD, and NACTO standards

Education and/or Skills Required

  • 0-2 Years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited Program
  • General knowledge of required design software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, OpenRoads)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good communication and technical writing skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.

Education And/or Work Experience Preferred

  • Previous internships or work experience in the Engineering field.

Certificates, Licenses, And/or Registrations Required

  • Valid Driver’s License
