Duties, Responsibilities & Other
- Assist in the development of multiple construction plans for transportation projects.
- Perform work which involves conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment.
- Assignments usually include engineering calculations, interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications, and assistance with proposal preparation.
- Help to coordinate work of multiple engineering disciplines, as well as performing drafting/CADD work for the project.
- Develops engineering reports, quantities and Construction Cost Estimates.
The Ideal Candidate Will Posses These Preferred Qualifications
- General Knowledge and/or experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads
- Candidate must have good communication and technical writing skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Familiarity with AASHTO, MUTCD, and NACTO standards
Education and/or Skills Required
- 0-2 Years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited Program
- General knowledge of required design software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, OpenRoads)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good communication and technical writing skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
Education And/or Work Experience Preferred
- Previous internships or work experience in the Engineering field.
Certificates, Licenses, And/or Registrations Required
- Valid Driver’s License
