Duties, Responsibilities & Other
- Aid in the development of multiple construction plans for transportation projects.
- Perform work involving conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment.
- Engage in engineering calculations, interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications, and assist with proposal preparation.
- Coordinate work among multiple engineering disciplines and perform drafting/CADD work for the project.
- Create engineering reports, quantities, and Construction Cost Estimates.
The Ideal Candidate Will Posses These Preferred Qualifications
- Good communication and technical writing skills.
- Familiarity with AASHTO, MUTCD, and NACTO standards.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
Education and/or Skills Required
- 0-2 Years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited Program.
- General knowledge of required design software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, OpenRoads).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good communication and technical writing skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internships or work experience in the Engineering field.
- EIT certification.
