Duties, Responsibilities & Other

  • Aid in the development of multiple construction plans for transportation projects.
  • Perform work involving conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment.
  • Engage in engineering calculations, interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications, and assist with proposal preparation.
  • Coordinate work among multiple engineering disciplines and perform drafting/CADD work for the project.
  • Create engineering reports, quantities, and Construction Cost Estimates.

The Ideal Candidate Will Posses These Preferred Qualifications

  • Good communication and technical writing skills.
  • Familiarity with AASHTO, MUTCD, and NACTO standards.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.

Education and/or Skills Required

  • 0-2 Years of experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited Program.
  • General knowledge of required design software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, OpenRoads).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good communication and technical writing skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internships or work experience in the Engineering field.
  • EIT certification.
