About the role
Stantec is seeking a highly motivated, ambitious Transportation Engineer in Training (EIT) to work on small and large high-profile transportation engineering projects. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to projects that move people and goods, transforming communities through safety, cleanliness, and resilience.
Responsibilities
- Perform roadway and highway geometric design
- Model projects in MicroStation using the latest software (OpenRoads)
- Prepare construction documents and cost estimates under the guidance of a licensed professional engineer
- Perform field work to collect data or observe projects under construction
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) minimum
- EIT certification in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months is required
- Experience with OpenRoads, Microstation, and Civil 3D is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to create and interpret sketches, drawings, and various exhibits
