What You Will Do
- Oversee and administer multiple construction projects of varying complexity.
- Work closely with Design and Maintenance Departments to address issues and future project considerations.
- Perform constructability plan reviews.
- Process change orders and estimates.
- Utilize multiple computer software programs such as GoForms, Mobile Inspector, AASHTOWare Project (AWP), etc. to manage construction projects.
- Manage in-house and consultant inspection staff.
- Act as a mentor for upcoming project engineers and interns.
Who We Are Looking For
- A licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio who is passionate about public service, conscientious, self-directed, adaptable problem solver, and takes initiative to manage issues independently.
- A good understanding of engineering principles, design standards, and the ODOT Construction and Materials Specifications.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting plans and contract documents.
- Strong communication skills for interacting and building relationships with various team members, project stakeholders, public officials, contractors, and external customers.
