Transportation Engineer 3 – Ohio Department of Transportation (District 9)

About the role

The Transportation Engineer 3 position within the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9 is based at the District 9 Headquarter Office in Chillicothe, Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements traffic engineering plans and projects.
• Conducts field inspections and gathers data to assess traffic flow and safety issues.
• Reviews and approves traffic control devices and signs.
• Collaborates with other departments to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional traffic engineering experience.
• Knowledge of traffic engineering principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule
