About the role

Join PepsiCo in a game-changing role as the Transportation Coordinator at our Edgerton, Kansas Mixing Center, part of the Warehouse Delivered network. In this high-impact position, you’ll oversee all key transportation tasks for our Mixing Center and work closely with our third-party logistics (3PL) partner. You’ll be at the forefront of transportation scheduling for this site while ensuring operational excellence from day one.

This role supports the Edgerton, KS site and assists our sister site in Blue Springs, MO. The site handles products from our business sectors: PBNA, Quaker, and Frito-Lay.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all transportation responsibilities for the Mixing Center, including routing orders daily in compliance with the transportation route guide to meet requested ship dates and secure carrier capacity.
  • Track carrier performance and troubleshoot loads at risk of missing requested arrival dates.
  • Ensure all new orders comply with PepsiCo guidelines on weight and method of shipment.
  • Schedule appointments for all inbound and outbound shipments, coordinating dock capacity with the campus manager and third-party facility manager.
  • Work with carriers on daily execution and deliver daily and weekly KPIs with on-site Transportation teams.
  • Collaborate with the Center of Excellence (COE) and service teams on scheduling issues, including loads not scheduled by the end of the period.
  • Maintain reason code input within SAP for open order status reporting.
  • Review the previous day’s dock schedule to ensure all orders are shipped; reschedule as needed.
  • Collaborate with the shipping office regarding specific shipment requirements.
  • Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance with the Overdue Mill Transit Receipts Report and Shipment Status Report.
  • Own daily, weekly, and period service metrics related to the role.
  • Cross-train to support other service center functions.
  • Lead communication with transport carriers, utilizing high-level planning and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Solve day-to-day transportation challenges and achieve long-term scheduling goals.
  • Partner with 3PL on dock scheduling, implementation, and execution to drive improvements in dock performance.
  • Leverage PGT and Spotlight Optimization tools to enhance scheduling and product availability.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and corporate policies, including safety, transportation, accounting, and purchasing.
  • Ensure on-time delivery aligned with Requested/Scheduled Arrival Dates.
  • Build strong relationships across the Power of One network, including PBC bottlers, co-packers, repackers, PBNA/PFNA COEs, and manufacturing.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve operational issues and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain preferred.
  • One to two years of experience in transportation or logistical operations.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, influence across functions, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with WMS, SAP, transportation systems, and labor management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and team-building skills.
  • Comfortable working in unstructured environments and making quick, informed decisions.
  • Occasional travel required (less than 10%).

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position is between $45,900 and $73,250. Location, job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting the actual starting salary.
