About the role

Drive residents safely to scheduled destinations.
Tracks assigned pick-ups and drop-offs to ensure timely service.
Assists residents in and out of the vehicles as warranted.
Creates, plans, and coordinates all routes for maximum efficiency and service.
Maintains cleanliness and safe operating condition of the bus and automobiles.
Schedules maintenance service on vehicles as necessary.
Develops driver schedules to meet the demand needs of the residents.
Responsible for making substitutions and adjusting schedules as necessary.
Determines vehicle choice and driver assignments for trips.
Provides hands-on/on-the-job training to new drivers.
Provides skill set retraining as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • An associate degree preferred.
  • Two to three years of applicable experience.
  • A valid Class B commercial driver’s license.
  • A clean driving record, no traffic violations.
