Transportation Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Cook up transportation planning and shipment activities
  • Prepare and manage bills of lading and shipping documentation
  • Research shipment issues and provide timely resolution
  • Maintain logs, reports, metrics, and audit documentation
  • Support UPS coordination and freight-related processes
  • Aid in compliance, SOP adherence, and process improvement initiatives
  • Communicate with internal teams, vendors, and carriers
  • Support inventory, freight claims, and transportation-related investigations
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to distribution operations

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Have 2+ years of transportation, logistics, administrative, or distribution support experience
  • Show strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Display excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Show proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Have experience with SAP or similar ERP systems (preferred)
  • Show ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
