Transportation Analyst

Responsibilities

• Develop financial models and conduct analysis to support corporate strategic initiatives
• Enhance internal processes through financial analysis
• Evaluate performance using financial metrics
• Collect and record data from all financials within transportation
• Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reporting
• Work with Supply Chain teams to understand flow and provide analytics to the Transportation Leadership Team
• Interact with Finance, Supply Chain, and Distribution Operations teams
• Interact with Carriers (all modes), Pool Point Operations, and Dedicated Fleet

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

• Review invoices and billing statements from all modes of transportation and collect the data
• Prepare various financial reports and analyses (including charts and graphs, industry & internal trend analysis, and exception reporting)
• Support senior management in making informed decisions by providing recommendations
• Prepare monthly forecasts by analyzing P&L results and developing projections of future performance
• Contribute to the monthly close process in conjunction with the accounting department, including all month-end reporting for both finance and logistics
• Collaborate with DC Operations to track carrier on-time delivery and service failures
• Assist with collecting data for transportation RFPs (Request For Pricing)
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Finance experience preferred
• Logistics / Transportation experience preferred
• Capable of learning new technology applications
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Able to handle conflict resolution calmly and effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent in English; Bilingual preferred
