Transportation Analyst

Description

The transportation analyst at Arhaus is responsible for planning and executing the domestic inbound and outbound schedules at all distribution centers to support on-time delivery and customer satisfaction goals. This role utilizes the TMS system to enhance shipment trailer utilization, cost efficiency, and maintain on-time delivery to hubs and stores. The role also involves managing relationships with the carrier network to meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Develop and maintain reports outlining performance on all key metrics including cost, service (on time), load optimization, returns, etc.
  • Facilitate the load planning with transportation partners for all distribution centers to provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts for outbound transportation needs.
  • Partner with IT and third-party transportation software provider to optimize the TMS solution.
  • Daily load planning to ensure maximum load capacity and efficiency on outbound loads from distribution centers, aligning with receiving hub capabilities.
  • Facilitate communication between distribution center teams, hub teams, and linehaul transportation providers to ensure all trucks are picked up and delivered on time.
  • Set, update, and publish the Delivery Schedule to the appropriate parties to ensure understanding and alignment.
  • Communicate the schedule and updates to the Transportation Operations team to ensure all team members are aware of the schedule and updated immediately with any changes.
  • Facilitate the reverse logistics process including hub returns on hand tracking, returns load scheduling, and ensuring compliance at hubs for loading times, loading quality, SOP compliance, etc.
  • Manage store transfers and new store opening transportation.
  • Other projects assigned.

Requirements

  • Education: College degree.
  • Background in using and optimizing TMS solution.
  • Dedicated to business and allows flexibility with work hours or rotating weekends / holidays if necessary.
