Transportation Analyst

About the role

The Transportation Analyst is responsible for managing Transportation Management business processes (i.e. procurement, Freight Bill Audit & Payment, Shipment Planning & Execution) to ensure that Ryder's solutions meet customer requirements. This position handles repeatable analysis and tasks driving continuous cost and service improvement by recommending and implementing stated improvements. The role requires both customer and carrier interfacing and the ability to represent Ryder in customer meetings.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage key performance indicators and execute root cause analysis utilizing TM operating systems.
• Provide support function activity including accuracy and timeliness of data processing, reporting analysis, and customer-specific inquiries.
• Interact with clients to resolve problems and coordinate implementations.
• Work cohesively with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) to resolve problems and/or support implementations.
• Process and distribute weekly and monthly customer metrics and develop customer performance reports.
• Prepare various reports, support documents, and update SCLM and SCMP as required.
• Initiate continuous process improvement activities and monitor results.
• Measure transportation network cost and service performance, analyze, implement, and develop improvement initiatives in support of the Account Executive.
• Coordinate TM procurement activities to achieve the best cost/service solution network.
• Prepare materials in support of client quarterly and monthly account reviews.
• Evaluate, quantify, and present opportunities for continuous improvement at assigned accounts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• College degree or Technical Certification in Business, Logistics, or Transportation. A combination of other education and experiences will be considered.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, or Transportation preferred.
• 2+ years of industry-related experience required.
• 2+ years of experience in custom and flow of freight as well as Transportation Management required.
• Must be computer literate and able to use the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access & PowerPoint) as well as the internet for work-related matters at a beginner level.
• Bilingual (French and English) required for Quebec locations only.

Pay

Salaried position with a minimum pay range of $55,000 and a maximum pay range of $70,000. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on level and/or type.
